What is Innerdance?
Innerdance was founded in the Philippines by Pi Villaraza – beginning as an ability to perceive realrity as it is – as a wholeness. Through expanded states of consciousness, we explore perceptive fields of observation and collective attributes of the mind that connect reality through the truth of nature as energy, vibratory expression and fluid meaning. The innerdance process peels away layers of limitation and stagnation that build up over time, through traumatic experiences, or within deeply rooted conditionings. We then see what is beneath all the systems of thought that veil the actual consciousness of our hearts as this process of Trust takes us to inner spaces of intuition and choice where shadows and unknowns unfold and the essence of Being emerges.
The innerdance is a transformative self-awakening process that organically leads anyone in surrender towards authentic and meaningful existence through intuitive healing, release work, energy awareness, live foods and ecological lifestyles, which can eventually assist in the planet’s healing and evolution in a time of accelerating collective global consciousness. Innerdance is an intuitive remembrance of the true self through a heightened awareness of bodies, minds and emotions as Energy. Coming to this state brings people into a more strengthened, sustainable and harmonious existence with other beings and the planet itself.
Innerdance is a process of inducing REM sleep cycles by utilizing the electroencephalogram of the sympathetic/parasympathetic autonomic nervous system with the bioelectricity and the electromagnetic force of the human body. It simultaneously utilizes the vibrations of sound and cellular response to hold conscious awareness. That is, in the REM (rapid eye movement) state, the relaxation delta wave (DELTA) and actively relaxed alpha state (ALPHA) coexist. A state of dreaming awake is activated in which we begin to understand time through expanded perspectives that transcend boundaries, shift memory constructs and break old patterns of thought perception in relation to our nervous systems, automatic senses, and how they work.
This process is open to all those who:
– are interested to learn more about the innerdance facilitation process
– would like to go deeper into cognitive learnings of science and mind, breaking down old constructs and patterns of thought
– have an interest in healing or health empowerment, or who resonate with globally transformative models for change
– would like to learn more about wholeness learning systems and how to integrate this into their own life or with others
– are ready to join a powerful and rapidly growing global network based on the sustainability and exploration of wholeness through consciousness, community, and collective continuity.
Facilitator’s Info: Serena Olsen
Serena, originally from New York, has been living in South East Asia since 2011. Highly intuitive since birth, Serena has always found solace and connectivity in nature. In June 2011, while participating in a Wilderness First Responder course in the mountains of Massachusetts, Serena was struck by lightning.
While already having had a strong relationship with electricity before this event, this strange synchronistic moment catalyzed an intense ripple effect of varying phenomena that eventually led Serena to living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – a city with some of the most grounded lightning strikes on the planet.
Exactly one year after the lightning strike, Serena experienced her first innerdance – which in it held electric vibrations three or four times stronger than the lightning strike itself. Transformation and hyper-sensitivity was nothing new for Serena, therefore leading her to deeply trust what her experience spoke and how it would continue to change her life in relation to the greater dreams of a planet and the visions she herself knew as real.
Now, Serena combines her love of learning, healing, community, science, and integrative wholeness systems into all she is. Finding flow within the forms and the formless, life is no longer a doing but a remembrance of being while creating spaces for gifting each other with possibilities for resonant change and transformation.
Continuation of the work of Pi Villaraza
In July 2017, Pi Villaraza – the founder of innerdance – held his last innerdance energy school, as he is now retired from holding any type of innerdance process. Before his retirement, and entry into a two-year silent retreat in the Maia Earth Village, he shared with the global innerdance community that the continued facilitation of innerdance through energy school and other trainings would now be given freely to those in the community both dedicated to and ready for holding the expansion in their own communities, or in relation to supporting the growing innerdance network across the globe.
In the last 5 years, Serena Olsen has worked closely with Pi to develop the current frameworks of innerdance energy school, helping to bridge gaps in the merging of science and spirituality in connection to dreamstates, linguistics and metacognition, memory, and the practical applications of this work in healthcare, education, sustainability, community, and wholeness systems.
For the next couple of years, Serena will be facilitating innerdance energy school and trainings for individuals and communities interested to participate in this process most closely aligned with the work and sharings of Pi in his 10 years of service to the innerdance. She will be traveling internationally to support innerdance integrations on multiple levels of experience including, workshops, innerdance energy school courses, facilitator trainings through energy school, and community development with those who feel ready to support innerdance using energy school as the guiding framework.

“I explored, felt, loved and experienced my body moving in ways it never had in the past. A knot I have had in my middle back ever since a car accident two years ago is gone!”–– Karen Fletcher, MPH, Seattle, Washington
“All I could comprehend in this in-between state was that something had opened up within that allowed me to see into another dimension of myself, one that acknowledged an inner life force that had long been dormant.”— Katrina, Philippine Daily Inquirer
“To date, I still have not found an acceptable, rational explanation. What I do know is that I felt and continue to feel God’s presence more acutely after I experienced the Inner Dance. I guess this outcome is more important than finding the cause.” — Kay, The Freeman Newspaper, Cebu
“Inner Dance is about flow, tuning in to deeper psychic, emotional and spiritual energies that exist within each of us and allowing these inner forces to move outward; it needs childlike trust, a suspension of the constant stream of mental chitchat that occupies our heads. When it happens, there is such a sense of release, of healing and coming home to one’s deepest music—personal and unique. All the layers of conventions , coping mechanisms and survival efforts simply fall away. One can touch the Core, our Original Source.” — Agnes, Philippine Daily Inquirer
“Once the blockages are released, the initiate often proceeds into a trance-like dance that can be equivalent to the crumbling away of one’s masks which allows a freedom from personal blockages. —Chichi, Vision Magazine, California
“It was an inner dance—an inner rebirth. It was a very powerful experience for me and I found myself teary-eyed. It was a cathartic experience I could not forget.” — Jaime Licauco, Philippine Daily Inquirer
